Within the scope of the “Open Doors – Companies of Castelo Branco” initiative, MECALBI opened its doors on April 27 to the regional business community, with the aim of fostering synergies and strengthening collaboration with local companies.
Among those present were the Mayor of Castelo Branco, Luís Correia, the future Director of IPCB, António Fernandes, members of the municipal council, and several representatives from the business community.
The event took place at the company’s facilities and included a brief presentation of its history, from its foundation to the present day, highlighting the main milestones and achievements over the years. Guests also had the opportunity to gain an inside look at the company by visiting the various departments and following the production flow — from mechanical design, through CNC machining and electromechanical assembly, to the testing phase and shipment of equipment to clients around the world.
During the visit, Eng. Jorge Amaral, the company’s founder, stated that it was the hard work and dedication of the technical teams that transformed MECALBI into a true success story, enabling it to overcome its most challenging moments. In turn, Luís Correia, Mayor of Castelo Branco, acknowledged the company’s excellence, highlighting its contribution to retaining talent in the municipality and praising its role in taking the name of Castelo Branco beyond borders.
MECALBI, specialized in the development of heat shrink solutions, was recently recognized as the best supplier worldwide by one of its clients, a multinational wire harness manufacturer.
