On November 22, MECALBI had the honor of being distinguished as the winner of the Prémio PME Inovação COTEC-BPI 2023, a mark of excellence awarded to the most innovative companies in Portugal.

This award aims to recognize organizations that stand out for their culture, processes, and innovation practices, as well as for the results achieved through the application of innovation to their development, market performance, and the creation of sustainable economic, social, and environmental value.

The selection process began with a pool of 198 companies, later narrowed down to 25 and, in the final stage, to just six finalists. These six companies also had the privilege of being received by His Excellency the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, on the 14th, at the Palácio de Belém.

The winner was announced during the 13th Encontro PME Inovação, held on November 22 at All in One Lisboa. The event featured a panel of speakers and concluded with the award ceremony.

MECALBI’s CEO, Jorge Amaral, received the Prémio PME Inovação COTEC-BPI trophy from the President of COTEC, António Rios de Amorim, and the Executive Board Member of Banco BPI, Pedro Barreto.

With great emotion, the leader of MECALBI highlighted the pride of earning this recognition among so many companies of excellence and outstanding quality.
